About Marion Systems

History

Founded in 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia, Marion Systems LLC has designed and built process automation equipment and 3D printers for use in small business and education environments. The founder, Garrett Sisk, is an alumnus of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS in Aerospace Engineering, and has experience in systems engineering and control systems design. Garrett began with a simple kit 3d printer purchased as a hobby, and as a means to keep his skills fresh and relevant in a difficult job market. After being approached by some asking if he could build a machine for them, Garrett realized that kit printers lacked the consistency and reliability a product needs to succeed in the market. From here, the G3D1 3D printer was conceived, and Marion Systems LLC was founded. Originally building 3D printers with a rudimentary shop put together on the patio of his apartment, Garrett has grown Marion Systems LLC over the past few years and now builds two models of machines – the G3D1 desktop 3D printer and the large and mobile Digital Manufacturing Center – and markets them to schools, higher education, and businesses wanting to take advantage of the power of 3D printing, while also needing a level of support only offered by larger, industrial manufacturers.

Our Focus: Support

We only market our products and services within the state of Georgia to ensure our customers can get the best possible experience with our products and our company. Our on-site support options are unique in the 3D printer market outside of the larger, corporate players. We combine the best elements of open-source 3D printers, offering robust, and reliable machines at inexpensive prices, while providing a level of service only found amongst machines that cost tens of thousands of dollars more.

We build each machine by hand. This limits our production capability when compared to larger manufacturers, but it ensures that you will get a fully tested and quality product on delivery. We even include on-site delivery, set up, and a short 1 hour instructional course free with every machine to ensure that you will be printing “out of the box” when your 3D printer is delivered.

This level of support does not end at delivery however. Our on-site support and maintenance services can allow your school or business to concentrate on using your 3D printer instead of fixing it yourself or waiting for replacement parts to arrive. If something breaks, a Marion Systems technician will come to your location and repair the problem, possibly as soon as the same day. If you’re concerned that your 3D printers may not be getting the maintenance required, or if you do not have the staff to monitor and maintain the machines, we offer contract maintenance services as well. We want you to focus on your creativity, and production. We don’t want you to be bogged down with machine issues, and downtime. You can read more about our on-site support and maintenance services by visiting this page.

Marion Systems continues to grow and find new clients with new, creative uses for our machines. We have clients 3D printing three dimensional topographical maps to aid in GIS instruction, others who use our 3D printers to produce conceptual mock ups of next generation spacecraft, even small producers of custom wedding items have benefited from our products, and others dream up countless other ideas. The possibilities of 3D printing are seemingly endless, and Marion Systems will be happy to help you achieve your goals in 3D printing.

Our Philosophy

We will never misrepresent our products. No lies, gimmicks, or tricks that other companies may use to make a sale. We do not have a dedicated sales team. Our on-site demos are given by engineers who know the product inside and out. No Kickstarters, Indiegogo campaigns, or other crowdfunding sources will be used to market our products. Thank you for your interest in Marion Systems, and we hope that we can work together with you soon.
